Item linking allows data at the item level of an inbound transaction to be linked and populated from the transaction being imported into Transaction Manager. The link value must match a value in your import file, and also match to a value on the originating transaction found in the Inbox or Received folder in order, for item linking to occur.
To use this feature in Mapping Manager:
Launch the Mapping page for the partner map you want to edit.
Under Tokens, click and then select the Map as Link Token checkbox.
Click to select a source token for inclusion in the grid.
If, for example, Bill To Name was selected with the Map as Link Token setting, but BillTo Name is not in the your project nor on the Purchase Order, Mapping Manager can relay that this data is not available upon import into Transaction Manager from the Project. However, when an Invoice is created, the Map as Link Token function in Mapping Manager will seek another Purchase Order with the same token and copy its data from the Transaction Manager Inbox or Received folder.
