An Electronic Partner Plug-in (EPP ) is a software plug-in that contains the detailed EDI specifications, or mapping, to meet a specific trading partner’s EDI requirements. The EPP tells TrueCommerce Transaction Manager which transactions are supported by the trading partner, how the data should be formatted, and what data is required on transactions that are sent to the trading partner.
Each EPP is for a specific trading partner and includes the mappings for all transactions that are required by that trading partner, such as invoices, purchase orders, advance ship notices, and functional acknowledgements. When each EPP is installed on your system, it automatically creates the trading partner associated with the EPP provided it does not already exist.
Note
Although the X12 standard specifies an overall format for sending information, it still allows for flexibility in the specific format of the EDI files that are sent. Larger companies create implementation guides that specify the format they will accept. Businesses that want to trade with them must set up their EDI software to send and receive transactions in the appropriate format. Transaction Manager handles this for you by using EPPs that automatically set up the transactions for your trading partner.
When you purchase an EPPs from True Commerce, Inc., the EPP will be automatically obtained and installed within TrueCommerce Transaction Manager.
EPPs are sent by TrueCommerce to you over TC.Net. To interface with other trading partners, you can easily purchase and download additional EPPs.
TrueCommerce has developed a large library of EPPs and is able to quickly develop new EPPs based on customer requests. When a trading partner modifies their EDI requirements or implements a new transaction, TrueCommerce will provide a free, auto-installing EPP upgrade for that partner.
If you need to add other companies as trading partners, call TrueCommerce at (724) 940-5525, for information about purchasing additional EPPs.
A Business System Plug-in (BSP ) is a software module that maps the EDI data to the specific requirements of the user’s accounting system. TrueCommerce Transaction Manager first translates the incoming EDI transactions and then the data can be exported in to and imported out of the user’s accounting system.
When a Business System Plug-in (BSP) is purchased from TrueCommerce, it is sent to you over TC.Net by TrueCommerce. TrueCommerce has BSP’s for the following business systems and can develop BSPs for other business systems upon request.

The TrueCommerce Electronic Label Plug-in (ELP) is an automated approach to printing UCC-128 shipping labels. The ELP exports Advance Ship Notice (ASN ) data into TrueCommerce labeling software utilizing a third-party label designer to print trading partner approved labels. The ELP also enables a user to auto generate UCC-128 numbers within the ASN. TrueCommerce Transaction Manager Online automatically populates the UCC-128 trading partner document with the appropriate data, and then the labeling software prints the labels. Updates to the ELP are provided free of charge.
TrueCommerce Transaction Manager users can automatically print their UCC-128 labels by installing our Electronic Labeling Plug-in and TrueCommerce labeling software. After purchase, this software can be downloaded from TrueCommerce and is then automatically installed.
