Mapping manager includes the ability to create custom map formulas:
If desired, you can build a custom map formula for import and export entities in your Project by adding various tokens within Mapping Manager’s Build Custom Formula control. To view a table of functions that can be used for building a custom formula, see Functions Reference.
To build a new custom formula:
Launch the Mapping editor for the map you want to edit.
Click on a record at the top of the grid to create a new (blank) record. This action enables the Build Custom Formula control.
Under Tokens, click to select a source token.
Under the Entity Definition and/or Tools tabs add items to the new formula. You can click Reset if you do want to keep your changes.
Click Build Custom Formula. Note that Undo will only undo the most recently performed action.
The screen refreshes with the custom formula box open. Note that if you click a row with existing content and then clicked Build Custom Formula, the token content will show within the custom formula box where you can add more to it.
To add tokens to existing content in the custom formula box, click to select the desired token under the Tokens tab.
If you created a new row and clicked Build Custom Formula, the cu+stom formula box will be empty. You can add your desired formula by drag and dropping from the left pane Tokens and Entity Definition tabs. Click Format to format the formula.
Once the custom formula is complete, click Set Formula Formula to save it.
Once a custom formula is built, you can click Validate to ensure there are no errors before saving the newly-created formula string.
If there are no errors in the formula, the Validation Results dialog will show Success. Otherwise, the dialog will indicate that errors occurred.
To linearize a custom formula, click the Linearize button.
