Mandatory Transaction Details

Trading partners require certain data to be included in your transactions. If there is a   flag to the left of a record in the Outbox folder, this means that one or more fields need to be filled in before that transaction can be sent to your trading partner.

When you open the transaction for editinglook for tabs where missing or incorrect fields have been flagged in red. This includes fields that are marked as required by your organization. Continue to edit transaction details until all highlights are removed.

 

TIP

If you have trouble locating flagged fields, ensure you are scrolling all the way down and across the open tab, as well as expanding any collapsed fields on the page. Additionally, keep in mind that filling in one field can flag subsequent fields as mandatory further down. This happens for fields under the Terms tab of an Invoice transaction type.

Some fields, such as vendor number and address information, can have their values added to the trading partner template so that they don't need to be filled in every time. Remember that this is only possible for fields whose values will always be the same for the associated trading partner. Whereas, you cannot template any fields that are intended for user-prompting
