Mandatory Transaction Details

Trading partners require mandatory data for their transactions. If there is a   flag to the left of a record in the Outbox folder, this means that one or more fields musy be filled in before that transaction can be sent to your trading partner.

When you open the transaction for editinglook for tabs where missing or incorrect fields have been flagged in red. This also includes fields that are marked as required by your organization. Continue to update all the necessary details until the highlights are removed.

 

TIP

If you are having trouble locating mandatory data, ensure you are scrolling all the way down and across each tab, as well as expanding collapsed fields. Additionally, keep in mind that when you fill in one field, that can cause subsequent data to be flagged as mandatory down the page. This happens for fields under the Terms tab of an Invoice transaction type.

Some values, such as vendor number and address fields, can be added to the trading partner template so that they don't need to be filled in every time. Remember that this is only possible for fields whose values remain the same for the associated trading partner. Whereas, you cannot template the fields that are intended for user-prompting
