Maintaining Trading Partner Templates

Trading partner templates allow you to "hard code" repetitive or default data when processing transactions in Transaction Manager. Templated data only be applied to outgoing/outbound transactions that will be consistent (static) every time they are created for the associated trading partner. 

 

NOTE

If there are multiple templates for a trading partner, each template will need to be modified separately as applicable. For further guidance on using this feature for a specific EPP, contact your TrueCommerce representative.

Editing a Template

To modify a trading partner template:

  1. Select a trading partner for editing.

  2. Select Preferences   on the action bar and then select Transactions  from the dropdown options. The Transactions Setup page displays in the Trading Partners workspace.

  3. Select a Transaction Type.

  4. Click the Template control on the action bar.

    This opens the template editor for the selected transaction type.

     

    CAUTION

    Do not fill in any fields that are likely to change with each newly-created transaction.

     

  5. Fill in the fields you want to be hard-coded with specific data each time this transaction is created for the associated trading partner. The information you enter here will be applied automatically whenever this transaction occurs in Transaction Manager.

  6. Click   Save on the action bar to save your changes.

Setting Required Fields

To set a selected field to be required for the template, click Make field required on the action bar. The field turns blue to indicate it is a required field. 

To remove the requirement setting from a selected field, click Make field not required on the action bar.


Additionally, you can choose your own color for Trading Partner required fields via AdministrationSystem Configuration > Required Field Colors.
