The modules described in this section are necessary for the configuration and operation of Transaction Manager to:
Communicate with your trading partners
Enable the import/export of EDI documents to/from your ERP/accounting system
Support the use of labeling software to print your trading partner-approved shipping labels.
Print trading partner-specific packing lists.
These will be referenced throughout this documentation and can be found in various other Transaction Manager eLearning material.
An Electronic Partner Plugin (EPP) contains the detailed EDI specifications, or mapping, to meet a specific trading partner's EDI requirements. The EPP tells Transaction Manager which transactions are supported by the trading partner, how the data should be formatted, and what data is required on transactions that are sent to the trading partner.
Each EPP is for a specific trading partner and includes the mappings for all transactions that are required by that trading partner, such as invoices, purchase orders (POs), advance ship notices (ASNs), and functional acknowledgements. When each EPP is installed on your system, it automatically creates the trading partner associated with the EPP provided it does not already exist.
NOTE Although the X12 standard specifies an overall format for sending information, it still allows for flexibility in the specific format of the EDI files that are sent. Larger companies create implementation guides that specify the format they will accept. Businesses that want to trade with them must set up their EDI software to send and receive transactions in the appropriate format. Transaction Manager handles this for you by using EPPs that automatically set up the transactions for your trading partner.

When you purchase an EPP from TrueCommerce, it will be obtained and installed within Transaction Manager automatically over TC.Net.
To interface with other trading partners, you can easily purchase and download additional EPPs. TrueCommerce has developed a large library of EPPs and is able to quickly develop new EPPs based on customer requests. When a trading partner modifies their EDI requirements or implements a new transaction, TrueCommerce will provide a free, auto-installing EPP upgrade for that partner.
If you need to add new companies as trading partners, contact your TrueCommerce representative for more information about purchasing additional EPPs.
A Business System Plugin (BSP) is a software module that maps the EDI data to the specific requirements of the user's accounting system. Transaction Manager first translates the incoming EDI transactions and then the data can be exported in to and imported out of the user's accounting system.

The TrueCommerce Electronic Label Plugin (ELP) is an automated approach to printing UCC-128 shipping labels. The ELP exports 856 Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) data into TrueCommerce labeling software using a third-party label designer to print trading partner-approved labels. The ELP also enables a user to auto-generate UCC-128 numbers within the ASN. Transaction Manager automatically populates the UCC-128 trading partner document with the appropriate data, and then the labeling software prints the labels. Once you purchase the ELP, future updates will be provided free of charge.
Transaction Manager users can automatically print their UCC-128 labels by installing our ELP and TrueCommerce Labeling software. After purchase, this software can be downloaded from TrueCommerce and is then automatically installed.
For more information on purchasing the ELP and labeling software, contact your TrueCommerce representative.
The TrueCommerce Packing List solution is an add-on feature that can be purchased at any time as a one time purchase. Your first packing list template is included with the add-on, after which all other templates must then be acquired as needed for each of your Trading Partners (EPPs).
For more information on purchasing the Packing List add-on and templates, contact your TrueCommerce representative.
